Cobbler, Coke, & Crochet

...5...
Location: Cobbler's Cafe in Elizabethtown, KY. This is an adorable little place! Huge menu and delicious beverages.

Companions: The three of us girls going on the Japan trip (in five days!) decided to get together once before the trip.

Drinking: Mocha Latte for me; Organic Oolong Tea for Rebecca; Hot Chocolate and Diet Coke for Evie. Yes, Evie has two beverages. Yes, that Coke has unlimited refills. Yes, she's a very thirsty girl.

Activity: We're crocheting scarves to take with us as gifts. Mine is yellow yarn with black eyelash yarn trim - looks like a bumble bee. Evie's is grape purple down the center and turquoise around the edges - so cozy! Rebecca is doing a shell stitch with thin fuzzy white yarn - lovely and delicate.

Eating: Gyro BLTs, Fritos, Vegetable Soup.

Conversation:
*Music: We're planning to sing some songs for the student groups, so we are discussing our favorite songs and artists and music styles.
*Family: The best way to get to know someone is to get to know their family. We are talking about our parents, siblings, aunts and uncles, and grandparents.
*Packing: It is going to be so hard to get everything we want and need crammed into our bags! Since we will have to physically carry / hold onto our bags on the train between Tokyo and Sendai, we are rather limited. I plan to check a medium-sized suitcase on the plane and carry-on a laptop backpack and a smallish rolling duffel bag.
